LYMPHEDEMA AND ME

I had Breast Cancer,in 2002 I found a lump in my right breast.I had a mastectomy and also had 13 lymph nodes taken out,but NOBODY said that I could develop lymphedema in my arm.I noticed that my arm was starting to swell and my wrist was looking really huge,so I was seeing my doctor and I asked her why my arm was swollen,and then she told me I might have lymphedema ,she suggested that I got to a lymphedema clinic.The doctor sent me to Norton Lymphedema Clinic,which I did so that what started my experiences with bandaging ,and more bandages.I believe that there needs to be more information out there on lymphedema and the causes. It is a very hard thing to go though it does`nt get any better,and only gets worse,then there are people who stare at you and ask what is wrong with your arm.But that`s okay too.

When people stare at my arm cause it,s bigger than the other one I have no trouble telling them,about lymph edema!
